We are part of God's Kingdom. We
have been discussing everything that is true of us because we are
part of it. And today I would like us to focus on the fruit of His
Kingdom. What will flow out of our lives if we are part of His
Kingdom? The Scriptures tell us clearly:
"For in Christ Jesus neither
circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but a new
creation. And as many as walk according to this rule, peace and
mercy be upon them, and upon the Israel of God." Galatians 6:15,
16
"But the fruit of the Spirit is
love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,
gentleness and self-control." Galatians 5:22, 23
"These things I have spoken to
you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full."
John 15:11
In His Kingdom is everything that
is good. All things wonderful are in His Kingdom and you are part
of it already as we have seen. His new creation is what matters
now, and if you walk in this new creation, peace and mercy will be
yours. If you remain in Him and focus your thoughts on Him, His
fruit will manifest and start to flow. His joy will be your
constant companion.
You cannot attain these qualities
by trying on your own. You cannot. In the carnal you cannot be
patient, you cannot be gentle and walk with self-control. It is
very very difficult. You see the answer is not working on yourself
until you display these qualities, because even though you might
display them outwardly, you might not experience them inwardly. You
might be boiling on the inside, and faking a patient smile on the
outside. The answer is to start living in His Kingdom. The answer
is to focus on Him and to read the Bible and see who you truly are
in Him. Once you start focusing on Him and all that He is, you will
start to become more and more like Him. And the more you become
like Him, the more of His qualities you will display.
Always remember that it is the
fruit of the Spirit, not your own fruit. It is
His fruit, and the more you focus on Him and become like
Him, the more of His fruit you will bring forth. It will make your
life a pleasure to live and it will also attract others to His
Kingdom. And that pleases the Father. He sent His Son to give you
all the tools and to make it possible for you to follow Him and to
be like Him. You just need to allow Him to work through you, that
is all. Be an open vessel, allow yourself to be 'serviced', give
yourself the chance to run on a better engine, His engine. On your
own you might be able to drive, but when His engine takes over you
can run and not grow weary, you can fly.
Father, thank you so much for
sending Your Spirit to come and live within us. Thank you that the
true answer to life is that we must stop trying and that we should
allow Your Spirit to move through us. Then we can accomplish so
much more and then we can display Your fruit for all to see, not
only to make our lives better, but to lure others into Your Kingdom
as well. Amen
